About WellRounds

A structured way to face what medicine brings home

WellRounds is an evidence-based guided series for physicians, partners, and medical families. Each module is a complete conversation: watch, reflect, discuss, and practice — with everything included to run a group or complete the series independently.

About Sarah & Sam

Clinical expertise meets the lived reality of medicine

Sarah Grimmer, PhD

Founder and Program Director

Sarah Grimmer is the founder and program director of WellRounds. A licensed clinical psychologist and published researcher, her work has focused on health psychology, trauma, neuropsychology, and psychological assessment.

WellRounds grew out of Sarah’s original doctoral research examining anxiety, depression, and secondary traumatic stress among physician spouses. Through that research, she saw a need for more support around the emotional, relational, and family challenges that can come with a life in medicine.

As both a psychologist and a physician spouse raising three children, Sarah brings professional expertise and lived experience to WellRounds. She created the program to offer practical, meaningful support for medical families as they navigate the unique demands of the medical journey.

Sam Grimmer, MD

Co-Founder and Managing Partner

Dr. Samuel Grimmer is the co-founder and managing partner of WellRounds. A practicing emergency physician and board-certified family medicine physician, he brings the physician perspective that helps guide WellRounds’ content, strategy, and practical relevance.

Through his work in medicine, Dr. Grimmer has firsthand experience with the realities of clinical demands, unpredictable schedules, and medical culture—and the impact those pressures can have beyond the physician.

As Sarah’s husband and a father of three, Dr. Grimmer also understands these challenges from the family side. His perspective helps ensure WellRounds reflects the real experiences of physicians and the people who share life alongside them.

What is WellRounds?

A complete guided series for medical families

WellRounds gives medical families a structured way to understand what medicine brings home — and learn how to face it together. Each module combines a brief expert-led video, guided reflection, discussion questions, practical exercises, and evidence-based tools participants can start using today.

Everything needed to facilitate a group or complete the series independently is included. Modules can be completed individually, but WellRounds comes to life as a shared experience: gather, watch, reflect, discuss, and leave with something practical to try.
