FAQ
Questions people ask before they begin
How the series works, who it is for, what a group leader needs, and how the Family Plan and group plans differ.
WellRounds is an evidence-based guided series for physicians, medical trainees, and their families. It helps people understand what medicine brings home — and learn how to face it together.
Each module is a complete conversation: a brief expert-led video, guided reflection, discussion questions, and a practical exercise. Group plans include a facilitator guide. The Family Plan does not.
The Physician Family Series is for people in a medical household — physicians, partners, and families — including medical students, residents, fellows, attendings, and retired physicians.
Organizations use it too: medical society alliances, residency programs, hospitals, and academic centers that want a structured series for physicians and the people who share their lives.
No. WellRounds is education. It is a guided series created by Sarah Grimmer, PhD, a licensed clinical psychologist, with Samuel Grimmer, MD. It is not psychotherapy, medical care, or a clinical treatment program.
The conversations can be personal. They are not a substitute for care from your own clinician. If you or someone you love is in crisis, call or text 988 in the United States, or contact local emergency services.
Every module follows the same four steps: Watch, Reflect, Discuss, and Practice.
Watch a short expert-led video. Use the worksheet to reflect before you talk. Discuss the questions with a group, a partner, or on your own. Leave with one practical exercise to try before the next gathering.
No. You can complete the series on your own or as a couple with the same videos, worksheets, discussion questions, and practices.
WellRounds is built to come alive as a shared experience. Many people start a group at home, through a workplace, or through an institution.
An alliance leader, wellness coordinator, counselor, physician spouse, or other organizer can lead. The facilitator guide is written so the leader does not need clinical training.
Leaders are not providing therapy. They are guiding a structured educational conversation.
The Family Plan is $299 per year for two adults. It includes the full 10-module Physician Family Series: videos, worksheets, discussion questions, and practices, with annual access on mobile and desktop.
The Family Plan does not include the facilitator guide. Purchase is completed on the WellRounds course site.
Standard plans are listed on the pricing page and can be purchased there: Physician Spouse Alliance, $1,000 for up to 50 participants; Small Practice, $1,875 for 15; Practice or Training Program, $2,500 for 30; Larger Practice or Training Program, $4,000 for 60; Hospital or Medical School, $5,000 for 100; Large Institution, $8,000 for 300.
Each of those plans includes the facilitator guide. After you purchase, WellRounds creates your group access. A retreat, an invoice or purchase order, or a size outside that list starts with a note to hello@wellrounds.com.
The Medical Training Series is a companion program for trainees, covering imposter syndrome, moral injury, peer support and professional identity, and the transition into practice.
It is still in development and is not included in the plans on the pricing page yet.
Your plan is for the people it covers — you, your household, or the group you licensed. Please do not copy, record, resell, or post the videos, worksheets, or facilitator guide for people outside that plan.
If you want WellRounds for a larger group, choose that plan on the pricing page, or write to us for a custom quote.
